S1APAnonymise

Anonymise IMSIs inside S1AP traffic, optionally strip or anonymise NAS payloads, and filter by S1AP procedure codes.

S1APAnonymise is an open-source tool developed by Melrose Networks to enable the secure and responsible sharing of LTE S1AP signalling data. It has been designed to support operators, defence organisations, and research partners who need to evaluate or develop analytical capabilities — including drone detection using the LTE S1 Analyser — without exposing sensitive subscriber or network information.

The tool performs data minimisation, anonymisation, and size reduction of S1AP capture files, allowing users to safely extract analytical value while maintaining compliance with privacy, security, and data-protection requirements. By anonymising identifiers such as IMSIs and removing non-essential fields, S1APAnonymise ensures that personally identifiable information (PII) is protected wherever possible.

With processing speeds exceeding 400,000 packets per second, S1APAnonymise provides a practical and scalable method for organisations to capture and prepare LTE S1AP data locally before sharing it for controlled analysis, remote evaluation, or model training.

This approach eliminates the need for direct or real-time access to live mobile network signalling, allowing potential customers and partners to evaluate the LTE S1 Analyser’s detection and tracking capabilities in a secure, compliant, and efficient manner.
